Our veterinarians obtain an incredible amount of valuable information from this thorough examination. More information is obtained through your pet’s annual in-house lab work and testing. We recommend these additional important diagnostic tools and can perform them when you bring your pet in for his or her annual physical exam. If you have a senior pet, seven years of age or older, we recommend a senior pet screening.
The in-house laboratory at Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic allows our veterinarians and staff to quickly and accurately perform lab work and diagnostic testing. These tests include urinalysis, a complete blood count (CBC), and blood chemistry panels and help our veterinarians determine the health of your pet’s kidneys, liver, and other organs. Additionally, diseases, such as feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), feline leukemia (FelV), and Lyme disease, and parasites, such as heartworms, can be detected.
We also provide the latest in digital radiography and ultrasonic equipment as part of our service protocols.
